What is The Good Shoe Shop’s returns policy?
The Good Shoe Shop treats you to an exceptional shopping experience! Read more about our Returns Policy here.
What is the delivery time for an online order?
Please allow 2-6 business days* in metro areas and up to 10 business days* in regional areas. Read more about our Delivery Policy here . Please call us if you have any questions. We’re here to help!
*Delivery times are an estimate only. Please note there could be delays if our warehouse is dispatching higher numbers of orders than usual, such as during a sale or at Christmas..
Can I track my order?
For orders heading to Australian addresses, yes you can! All orders are sent using the Australia Post E-Parcel service. Once Australia Post has received your parcel from our warehouse they will email you your tracking information and number. If you are unavailable at the time of delivery, a card will be left at your address and you can then pick up your parcel from the nearest Post Office. It’s always more reliable to provide a corporate address for delivery.
Do you ship internationally?
No, not at the moment.
Do you have a bricks and mortar store?
Not in the traditional sense. We do stock some of our range at our podiatry practice in PENRITH, NSW. If you would like to view or try on a pair of shoes, you can do so at the practice. We do request that you make an appointment for a fitting so we can make sure a crew member is available to help you. Contact us to make a time.
FITTING YOUR SHOES
We are working on building an electronic fitting tool to ensure you get the best fit. You will find most of our sizes are based on European measurements. This is because the majority of our products are made in – you guessed it – Europe, as that’s where the majority of the master craftsmen are. Also, the Australian foot tends to be broader than the feet that shape the Asian market. So it makes sense to source our products from a country were the population has a similar shaped foot to ours. If you take a look at the chart below, you’ll see that European shoe sizes are closer together than American and Australian shoe sizes. Make sure you read our fitting instructions before you choose your size. You’ll find these instructions in the product information for the particular shoe you’re lusting after. If you have any questions about the fit of your shoes, email here.
And, of course, if something does go wrong (….and we totally get that online shopping is an activity that
sometimes happens after a couple of glasses of wine or when children are pulling on your shirt) we offer free
returns. You can read our full Returns Policy here. It’s friendly, we promise!

CAN I PUT ORTHOTICS IN YOUR SHOES?
Yes, in some of our range you certainly can. This information is provided on the product page. But, here’s the thing. Even though I’m a podiatrist and a noisy advocate for well designed orthotics, I’m also always quick to let some of my patients know they’re not necessary 100% of the time. So long as you are in a comfortable and well constructed shoe, for appropriate periods of time, you should be fine without orthotics. If you’re unsure, be sure to speak to your podiatrist.
“ARE YOUR CASUAL LACE-UPS GOOD FOR WALKING?”
Yes! Our lace-ups will stand you in good stead for the kind of walking you’d do on holiday or on a day where you’re constantly on your feet. However, they are not a replacement for an athletic shoe. Running errands? Yes. Running marathons? No.
